Kellyann Conway and Steve Bannon are the targets of a new ad that says the former campaign manager for President Donald Trump has “lies” and “lies about her husband” that have led her to the White House.
The spot is the latest effort by the Trump campaign to paint the Republican National Committee as a political power house, and to criticize the former president for not holding more public events, according to the AP.
“Kellyanne and Steve Conway are lying to the American people, and we don’t like it,” the ad says.
“We don’t want you to know.”
It also goes on to say that “they want to stop Kellyannee Conway from running for office.”
It’s the latest in a string of Trump campaign ads aimed at Conway, the first of which has been pulled since the Republican primary ended on June 16.
It was launched as Trump was campaigning in Iowa and featured a clip from a new Trump TV ad that portrays Conway as a liar and that her husband has been a “scam artist.”
A third ad, titled “Kellys lies and lies about Kellyanner,” was released earlier this month, and it includes footage from a previous ad that attacked Conway and Bannon.
The ad by the Donald Trump for President PAC, a pro-Trump super PAC, comes as Conway, who is married to Trump’s son, has been critical of the president and his campaign in recent weeks, accusing the Republican party of “losing control” and of being too soft on the Trump family.
She has also criticized the GOP nominee’s handling of the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, and his response to the deadly white supremacist rally in the city.
The campaign has previously tried to distance itself from Conway in the past.
The first ad from the pro- Trump PAC aired in late June in a commercial that showed Conway saying that the president was “sick of it” and that the GOP should “stop pandering to his base.”
It then goes on the attack on the former White House press secretary, saying Conway has been “lying about the president’s actions” and has said that Trump is “not a very good president.”
The ad says that Conway “has no respect for the president” and claims that she “is just another liar.”
The Trump campaign has not commented on the ad.
The ads come as the Trump administration has moved to rein in the RNC.
Earlier this month the RNC cut its ties with Bannon, who was the senior strategist for Trump’s presidential campaign.
The RNC is also in the process of revamping its rules governing political committees.
